Jack D. Lindner of Ringgold, passed away Monday, July 26, 2010 at his home.
Mr. Lindner was retired from ICI America (TNT Plant) where he worked as a draftsman, and also worked at Life Touch. He was a former Volunteer Fireman, and served as a policeman for the City of Ft. Oglethorpe. He was also a former commissioner of the Post Recreation Association and served as an umpire for both the Youth and High School Baseball in Ft. Oglethorpe. He served our country in the U.S. Army, was an avid fisherman, and a member of the Signal Mountain Bass Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fletcher and Hattie Lindner and a brother, Fred Lindner.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Lindner of Ringgold, son Curtis Lindner of Lawrenceville, GA; step-son, Christopher Hall of Rossville and Step-Daughter Misty Lindsay of Chickamauga; six grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, July 29, 2010 in the South Crest Chapel with Rev. Derrick Eledge officiating.
Burial will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery with full military honors.
