Mary Ruth Trewhitt Eaves, 85, of East Ridge passed away Friday, July 23, 2010 at a local health care facility. She was born on January 8, 1925 to the late Paul and Pearl Trewhitt in Cleveland, TN. She lived most of her life in the Chattanooga area where she was a member of the Spring Creek Road Baptist Church and also attended the Greens Lake Road Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Bill Eaves.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth Jane and Larry Clark of East Ridge; grandchildren, Les (Natasha) Clark and Carolyn (Doug) Bonner; great grandchildren, Anna and Alex Clark and Zoe Bonner; several nieces and nephews.

Contributions may be made to Hospice of Chattanooga at 4411 Oakwood Drive Chattanooga, TN 37416.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 11a.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Minister James Lewis officiating.
A private burial will be held at Lakewood South Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 2-4p.m. and Monday from 10a.m. until the funeral hour at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, Rossville.
