Obituary for Virginia Sims Bedwell
Virginia Sims Bedwell, 78, of East Ridge, died on Sunday, March 7, 2010 at a local hospital.
She was a native of Flat Rock, Al., and had lived most of her life in East Ridge where she worked at Eckerd’s for many years as a pharmaceutical tech.
She was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in East Ridge and will always be remembered for her kindness and willingness to open her home to anyone in need.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arlie J. Bedwell; and parents, Rufus and Emaline Sims.
Survivors include her son, Michael (Susan) Bedwell of Chattanooga; two daughters, Kathy Goins and Fail Bedwell, both of Chattanooga; five grandsons, Michael “Tye” (Donna) Bedwell of Chickamauga, Samuel Bedwell of Chattanooga, Thomas Bedwell of Pensacola, Fl., David Pendergrass of Chattanooga, and Michael Taylor of Chattanooga; three great-grandchildren; and several very dear friends.

A private burial will be held at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
