Betty Lou Norton Corley, 85, of Rossville, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 21, 2017.

Mrs. Corley was born in Chattanooga on March 1, 1932 to the late Oscar and Alberta Norton and was a lifelong resident of the Rossville area. She retired from Shaw Industries in Ringgold with over 10 years of service as a creeler. She was Baptist by faith and attended Midway Baptist Church in Ringgold for the past 6 years. Mrs. Corley enjoyed working in her yard, shopping at flea markets, and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Corley, daughter, Cathy Hardy, two brothers, Dan and Don Norton, two sisters, Margaret O’Neil and Geneva Wooden.

Survivors include her grandson, Adrian Hardy; three sisters, Mary Abercrombie, Rosa Potter and Jean Tuck; step-daughter, Renae Holland (East Ridge), step-sons, Bo Corley ( Dayton, TN) and Craig Corley (Chattanooga, TN), and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 12:30 PM on Saturday, November 25, 2017 in the South Crest Chapel with Reverend Jack Swanson officiating. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens – South. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, November 24, 2017 and from 10:00 AM until 12:30 PM on Saturday prior to the service.

Arrangements are by the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, located at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
