Bobbie Jo Slack, 72, of Rossville, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at her residence.

Ms. Slack, a native of Rossville, was born on September 1, 1944 to the late Joseph and Vandora Downs. She has lived in the Rossville area for most of her life. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She retired from J.C. Penny, where she worked as a Sales Associate. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Slack and her sister, Emma Ransom.

Survivors include her sons, Glen and Curtis Morgan, daughter, Teresa Smith, brother, J.D. and Joseph Downs, sisters, Ruth Jeffers and Helen Wright, 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, May 26, 2017 in the South Crest Chapel with Pastor John Headrick officiating. Interment will follow at Sarah’s Chapel Cemetery in Wildwood.
