Buddy Rogers Teems, 80, of Rossville, passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2017 in a local health care facility.

Buddy was born in Trion, Georgia on January 10, 1937 to the late George and Geneva Teems and has resided in the Rossville area for many years. He was a truck driver for O’Neal Steel Company and Bee Line Express and loved fishing and going on family vacations. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and proudly served his country of which he loved. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his sister, Catherine Campbell and his brother, Jimmy Harold Teems.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 59 years, Cecil Teems, two daughters, Cindy (Tommy) Beavers and Teresa (Doug) Stinnett, five grandchildren, Ashlae Stinnett, Brooke (Randall) Treat, Justin (Crystal) Little, Amber Beavers (Greg Whitmire) and Darrell (Ashley) Beavers, seven great-grandchildren, Trip and Kyler Kilgore, River Capley, Wilder and Waverly Little, Evan Whitmire, Corbin Beavers and Riley Treat, one sister, Doris Cross, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM on Monday, November 6, 2017 in the South Crest Chapel with Reverend Paul Williams officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Sunday, November 5, 2017 in the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
