Carlton Eugene Haire, 61, of Chattanooga, died Tuesday, June 27, 2017, in an Atlanta hospital.

Carlton was born on August 21, 1955 to the late Clifford and Evelyn Haire and had lived in the Chattanooga area most of his life. He was a truck driver with Ozark Truck Lines for 20 years and was of the Baptist faith. He loved the outdoors and everything dealing with nature. There was hardly a question he could not answer about the outdoors which reflected his passion. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his brothers, James and Joel Haire. Carlton also deeply loved his family and his dogs.

Survivors include his wife, Cathy Haire, daughter, Tonya (Carlos) Abercrombie, grandchildren, C.J Morgan and Tori Sapp, sisters, Linda (Robert) Elmore of Whitwell, TN, Cathy (David) Stribbling of Dallas, GA and Arthur (Linda) Haire of Cleveland, TN, special nieces and nephews and special friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM on Sunday, July 2, 2017 in the South Crest Chapel with Stephen Abercrombie officiating. Interment will follow at Lakewood West Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM on Saturday, July 1, 2017 and from 9:00 AM on Sunday until the service hour in the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, located at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
