David Leebron ScealfJuly 18, 1953 ~ June 16, 2017 (age 63)
David Leebron Scealf, 63, of Rossville, Georgia, was called home to be with the Lord June 16, 2017.
He was born July 18, 1953 to George and Ruby (Harp) Scealf and lived in the Dry Valley Community. He was a 1971 graduate of Rossville High School and was a member of Lookout Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. David worked as a floral designer for 42 years with Creighton’s Flower Shop and Fort Oglethorpe Florist and warmed the hearts of many with his beautiful arrangements. He was an avid gardener and loved all things dealing with nature, especially raising chickens. He had knowledge of wildflowers and plants and enjoyed sharing his knowledge with others. He will be remembered for his undying love for his family and unquestionable faith in his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Ruby Scealf, and nephew, Cale Scealf.
He is survived by three brothers: Douglas (Shelia) Scealf, Darrel (Virginia) Scealf, and Bill (Darlene) Scealf; five nieces and nephews: Louie (Amanda) Scealf, Jessica (Jeff) Rymer, Cody (Beth) Scealf, Amber (Payton) Reece, and Nathan Scealf; eight great nieces and nephews: Douglas, Ruby, and David Scealf; Elijah and Beau Rymer; Abbey Scealf; and Ellison and Jesse Reece.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 in the South Crest Chapel with the Rev. Terry Burns officiating. Interment will follow in the High Point Community Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 pm on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 and from 11 am until the service hour on Wednesday in the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
