Donald Berry Collins, 81, of East Ridge, passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2017 in a local hospital.

Donald was born in Chattanooga on June 22, 1936 to the late John Berry and Veneta Jean Collins. He was a 1955 graduate of Lakeview High School and was retired from Combustion Engineering in Chattanooga as foreman following 30 years of service. From 1987 until 2000, he was co-owner of Magoo’s Restaurant in East Ridge. Donald was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed playing basketball, liked fishing, and LOVED Golfing with his buddies.

Survivors include his sister, Barbara Jean Collins Patty, daughters, Sharron Collins (Wayne) Miller, Kim Collins (Johnny) Tyler and Lisa Collins, three grandchildren, Samantha Hogan, Tiffany (Jason) Warf and Jeremy Tyler, two great-grandchildren, Landon and Houston Warf.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 in the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, located at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
