Edith “Polly” Mary Hartline Wooten, 88, of Chickamauga, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 in a local hospital.

 

Mrs. Wooten was born in Farragut, Tennessee on July 24, 1929 to the late Granville and Harriet Hartline and has resided in the Chickamauga area for the past 68 years. She was a member of Grand Center Baptist Church of Chickamauga and attended Lookout Baptist Church in the Highpoint Community in her later years. Mrs. Wooten was a beloved mother, wife, neighbor and friend. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and taking care of her family. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Trin A. Wooten Jr., her siblings, Dorothy Hartline (Infant), Robert (Virginia) Hartline, Colonel James (Geraldine) Hartline (ret), Frank (Catherine) Hartline, Marion (Bill) Jamborsky and Shirley Hartline.

 

Survivors include her children, Lynn (Wesley) Jackson, Trin A. “Bud” Wooten III, James “Jim” Alan (Susan) Wooten, Laura (David) Crawford, five grandchildren, Chris (Lori) Jackson, Patrick (Catherine) Jackson, Jennifer (Mark) Maloney, Andrew Wooten and Dr. Melanie Wooten, five great-grandchildren, Lilith Jackson, Rory Maloney, Aiden Maloney, Henry Jackson and Molly Jackson, several nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, January 15, 2018 in the South Crest Chapel with Pastor J. Ralph Wooten Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Grand Center Cemetery, Chickamauga.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Sunday, January 14, 2018 and on Monday from 11:00 AM until the service hour in the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
