Frances Ray (Cline) Melton

Frances Ray Cline Melton, 95, of Rossville, Georgia passed away Saturday, March 23, 2024. She was born to Oliver Isaiah Cline, Sr. and Flora Eula Eaves Cline on May 2,1928 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Frances was a 1946 graduate of Rossville High School, worked for Interstate, Provident and Unum Insurance Companies as an office worker and trainer throughout her career. Frances was a longtime member of Simpson United Methodist Church and served as a Sunday School Teacher and a choir member.

Frances loved her church spending time with the United Methodist Women’s Group, watching the Atlanta Braves and spoiling her nephews and her Dog Sandy.

She was preceded in death by her Husband, Marvin Watson Melton; Parents, Oliver Isaiah Cline Sr. and Flora Eula Eaves Cline; Brother, Oliver Cline Jr; Nephews, Eric Cline; Sister-in-law, Nelle Cline.

Those left to cherish her memory are Nephews, Karl (Karen) Cline, Mark Cline, Niece, Michele Cline and several Great Nieces and Nephews.

A private burial will be held at Chattanooga National Cemetery. The family will have a memorial service at a later date.
