Irona Payne

Irona Payne, 81, of Rossville, passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2017, at a local health care facility.  She was saved at the age of 14 and was a member of the Fairview Baptist Church and a member of the Vota Vita Sunday School Class.  Mrs. Payne was very kind hearted to everyone she met.  She was an avid gardener and loved music and movies especially by Elvis.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Michael and Randy Alexander; daughter, Cynthia Alexander; children’s father, James C. Alexander 

Survivors are her son, Terry Alexander; grandchildren, Cynthia Alexander and Holly Bilbery; great- grandchildren, Samuel and Alex Bilbery.

The family would like to thank the loving staff of NHC Rossville and Hospice of Chattanooga.

Funeral services will be 11 am Friday in the funeral home chapel. With Pastor Jim Bennett officiating.  Interment will follow in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 pm Thursday at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
