Joel “Dennis” Williams, 63, of Chattanooga, passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2017 at his residence.

Dennis attended the Chattanooga Temple Bible Methodist Church, had worked for the Ringgold Telephone Company and several textile mills in the area.  He enjoyed fishing, working on classic cars, auto body repair, any type of carpentry work, and visiting the ocean.  But most dear to his heart, was spending time with his family, and especially the grandchildren.  Dennis was preceded in death by his wife, Connie Williams, mother, Minnie Jo Goins, father, Joe L. Williams, brother, Bobby Clark, and his grandparents, Maw & Paw Clark.

Survivors include his children, Bobby Lee (Sherry) Williams, Joedy Len (Sherrie) Williams, and Tammy Jo Collins; SPECIAL PAPAW to Shyanne &  Star Collins; brothers, Vernon & Jimmy Clark and Tracy Scott; sister, Donna Jean McGhee; fourteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, several nieces & nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in the South Crest Chapel with interment to follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 22nd from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home & Crematory, at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
