Mark Anthony Keen, of Red Bank, TN, was born February 7, 1963 to Herman & Bobbie (Albers) Keen in Wichita, Kansas. He passed away suddenly on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee at the age of 55 years and one day.
He graduated from Derby High School in 1981, and baptized in the First Christian Church of Derby, Kansas.
Upon graduation, Mark was employed by Martin-Marietta Aerospace in New Orleans, LA, manufacturing the External Tank for the Space Shuttle Program. Following the Challenger Space Shuttle disaster in 1986, Mark began a twenty-five year career with Home Depot. In 2015, he became the store manager of the Bargain Hunt Superstore located in Chattanooga. In May of 2017, until his passing, Mark was a Sales Consultant at Mountain View Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Dealership in Ringgold, GA. Mark loved to work, no matter what or where it might take him. Most of all, he loved his family. His co-workers were family too. He was and will always be an inspiration to all who knew him.
Survivors include his son, Justin, of Red Bank, TN; Mark’s fiance’, Jada L. Nelson and her son, Aidan of Signal Mountain, TN; parents, Herman & Bobby Keen of Rossville, GA; sisters, Cynthia Hickman and husband Patrick of Slidell, LA, and Shari Keen of Kearney, NE; two nephews, Daniel & David Gamso; nieces, Shelby Gamso & Marylou Hickman; great-nieces and nephew, and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 13th at 2:00 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel. The family will receive friends Monday, February 12th from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home & Crematory, at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville, GA.
