Marvin Franklin “Poodler” Stone, 82, of Lookout Mountain, Georgia, passed away on Monday, July 31, 2017 at his residence.

Mr. Stone was born to the late James & Thelma Stone and spent his entire life in the West Brow community of Lookout Mountain.  He was a self-employed carpenter, attended the West Brow Holiness Church, and enjoyed fishing, flying model airplanes, camping, and being in the outdoors.  Marvin was preceded in death by his daughter, Rhonda Mitchell, son, Tim Price, brother, James “Buck” Stone, and sister, Gertrude Dabbs.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Wanda Price Stone; children, Marlene Mashburn, Marlon Stone, Jamie Stone, & Chris Stone; sister, Ruth “Suby” Clark; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchilden, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at the West Brow Holiness Church with Brother Mark Finlayson officiating.  Interment will follow in Mount Olive Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the West Brow Holiness Church.

Arrangements are by the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home & Crematory, at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
