Ruth P. Koger, 83, of Rossville, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, October 6, 2017 in a local hospital.

Ruth was born in Chattanooga on August 15, 1934 to the late Joseph and Ethel Rimasfski.  She loved everyone and never met a stranger.  Ruth was a member of the Chickamauga Church of Christ, retired from Galaxay Carpet Mill with many years of service, gave her time and donations to the Women’s Auxiliary, Paralyzed Veterans of America, and many other organizations.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Isaac Koger, son, Isaac Koger, Jr., loving daughter, Brenda Lee Koger, brothers, Donald Reams, Frank Rimasfski, Alfred Rimasfski, & Joe Rimasfski.

Survivors include her daughters, Nora Jean Koger & Debbie Ingram; son, Phillip Wayne Koger, Sr.; sisters, Maxine Warren, Eleanor Kane, & Romell Geraldine Bearden; four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, & two great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 10th at 1:00 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Ministers Shane Robinson & C.G. Griffith officiating.   Interment will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday, October 9th from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home & Crematory, at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
