Sarah Ann (Osburn) Jones

Sarah Jones, 89, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 8, 2024, at her home in Ringgold, GA.

 She was a native of Chickamauga, GA. Sarah was a member of Burning Bush Baptist Church and the Gleaner’s Sunday School class. She was also a member of the Prime-Time Choir.

Sarah devoted her life to serving the Lord as well as her community in every way possible.  She had a quick wit and loved gardening and watching birds.  Before her husband, Gene, passed away; they enjoyed watching their favorite show, Gunsmoke. She loved her family dearly and was a very devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Eugene Jones; parents, James B. and Omie Zella Osburn; and several siblings.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Dickie Wayne (Saejin) Jones and Tressia Ann (Donald) May; grandchildren, Joshua (Ariel) Jones, Beth (Wes) Howard, and Mark Lyles; great grandchildren, Gavin Lyles, April Jones, and Jeremiah Jones; and other extended family members.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Burning Bush Baptist Church with Pastor Dennis McNulty and Colin Crosen officiating.  Interment will follow at Rock Spring UMC Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Friday, April 12, 2024, from 4:00 – 8:00pm at Lane Funeral Home.  Mrs. Jones will lie in state at Burning Bush Baptist Church on Saturday, April 13, 2024, from 11:00 until the funeral hour at 1:00pm.
