Shirley Wooten

Shirley Ann Wooten, 71, of Rossville, GA passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2024.  She was born and raised in Rossville to parents Clifford Gibson and Pauline Pell.

Shirley worked at Shaw Industries for over 35 years. She had a quick wit and made everyone around her feel special.  Shirley adored her family and especially enjoyed taking care of her great grandchild.  She loved spending time with her family and watching her grandchildren play sports.  Shirley was a “Summer” person and enjoyed all things outdoors including Braves Baseball and in the Fall Alabama Football.  She also loved animals but her cats were her favorite.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Clifford Gibson and Pauline Pell.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Eric and wife, Stacey Wooten; grandchildren, Dylan (Brianna) Wooten, Alyssa Wooten, and great grandson, Ayden Wooten; sisters, Joyce Davis, Linda Williams, and Pat (Leon) Stonecipher; several nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family members.

A chapel service will be held at 1:00pm on Sunday, April 14,2024 with Geoff Wooten officiating.  Intombment will follow at Calvary Gardens Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 13, 2024, from 4:00 – 8:00pm.
