Thomas "Tommy" Lee Goodman

Thomas “Tommy” Lee Goodman, 73, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 23, 2024.  He was born in Salisbury, North Carolina and then raised in China Grove, North Carolina by his parents LeRoy and Mary Goodman. He was an only child.

Tommy loved hunting either with his gun or bow. He enjoyed watching Westerns and Nascar races, with the legend Dale Earnhardt, Sr. being his favorite driver. Football was another favorite to watch, and Tommy was always cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs.  Family visits with his children and grandchildren, who called him “Papaw”, were always enjoyed by Tommy.

He is preceded in death by his parents, LeRoy and Mary Goodman, and several aunts and uncles.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 25 years, Sue Goodman; children, Scotty (Toni) Goodman, Christine Dumas and Laura Galloway; grandchildren, Jeff, Alexis and Thomas Dumas, Jayla Fuller, Trey and Gavin Galloway; uncle, Walter Smith; multiple cousins, friends and co-workers at Shaw Industries Plant 52.
