Saturday, November 14, 2020 in a local hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Sis was born in Long Island, AL and was one of eight siblings who were separated at a young age. After Sis married, she made it her life’s mission to get her family back together. Family was everything to Sis and she was considered the anchor that held the family steady. She worked for several family owned and operated businesses over the years including: Arrowhead Candle Company in Los Angeles, CA, Collins Brothers Service Center, Jiffy Mart, and Lou’s Burger House. Sis also worked for Standard Coosa Thatcher for many years in addition to her family’s businesses. She enjoyed fishing, camping, and was even the member of a bowling league in Ft. Oglethorpe called “Charlies Angels.” Sis was a hard working woman who brightened every life that she touched; she is deeply loved and will be dearly missed.
Sis was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Louis Collins, Sr.; parents, Verbon and Marie Johnson; sister, Louise Collins; brother, James Johnson; and granddaughter, Stephanie “Sissy” Collins.
