Barbara Knight Chastain 2/8/36-5/30/20

Barbara Knight Chastain, 84, passed away Saturday May 30, 2020 at Pruitt Health- Lafayette.

Barbara was an avid gardener who loved flowers, antiques and a good bargain. She could almost always be found outside working on her flowers or at the flea market shopping for a good find. Barbara had worked for Peerless Woolen Mills in Rossville before going to work for Red Foods Corporation where she loved meeting and talking with customers.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Bertie Knight; sisters, Lucille Knight Youngblood (Archie Youngblood), Frances Knight Blaylock (Morgan Blaylock), Ruth Knight Gill (Fred Gill), Dorthy Knight Jones (Paul Jones), and brother Frank Levi Knight (Sarah Knight).

 Barbara is survived by sons: Raymond Chastain Jr. (Tonya) and Richard Allen Chastain (Ted Kiesler); grandchildren, Derek Chastain (Steffany), Jennifer Young (Ryan); great grandchildren: Dylan Chastain, Brooklyn Chastain, Lily Jones, Easton Young, Alyssa Young, Connor Young; and sister Linda Knight(Diane). She will be greatly missed by her many nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews, and great great nieces and nephews living in the Chickamauga and Rock Spring communities.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, June 4th, 2020 at 2pm in the Chickamauga City Cemetery with Pastor Brian Gilliam officiating.
