Barbara L. (Alsop) Daniel

Barbara Lynn Daniel, 75, of Rossville went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 5, 2021.  Barb lived most of her life in Rossville.  In the 1970’s Mrs. Daniel worked for Olan Mills and in the 1980’s she and her husband owned and operated Bryson and Daniel Trucking.  She was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in East Ridge and the LWML (Lutheran Women’s in Missionary League).  Mrs. Daniel had a loving and gracious heart and was always looking to help others.  She cherished her grandchildren and great grandchildren, she enjoyed playing cards with her family and looked forward to the family trips to St. Augustine Beach for the past 20 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence V. and Bernice L. Alsop; and brother, Lawrence V. (Maxine) Alsop, Jr.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Larry Daniel; two daughters, Cheri Ann (Barry) Cameron and Debbie Johnson; three brothers, Andy (Jo Etta) Alsop, Bruce (Sharon) Alsop, and Robert (Peggy) Alsop; three sisters-in-law, Sheila (Michael) Dunwoody, Carolyn Bradford, and Glenda Richardson; one brother-in-law, Ricky (Barbara) Daniel; seven grandchildren, Brandon (Hannah) Pearson, Aaron Pearson, Karlee (Jordan) Harrison, Alex Johnson, Carissa Johnson, Marc Cameron, and Will Cameron; three great grandchildren, Raegan Faith Pearson, Ryleigh Lynn Pearson, and Brooks Michael Pearson; one great granddaughter on the way; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00p.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church at 822 Belvoir Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37412 with Pastor Christopher Sheets officiating.  Mrs. Daniel will Lie in State at the church from 12 noon until the funeral hour.

Inurnment will be held at a later date at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 4-8p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, Rossville, GA.
