Barbara Jean (Veal) Gaddis

Barbara Jean Veal Gaddis, 78 of East Ridge, TN passed away Saturday April, 20th, 2019 in a local hospital.

Barbara was born in Chattanooga on May 19, 1940 to Mike and Margie Veal. She was known for her incredible work ethic having spent 25 years working for Wal-Mart.  Barbara worked hard, but she also played hard; she was an avid bowler and was a member of the USBC Ladies Commercial Bowling League. She also loved to play the quick slots and play on her I-pad. Barbara was best known by Nanny and was loved by all and will be missed by all who knew her.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Gaddis; parents, Mike and Margie Veal; brother, Roy Allen Veal; and sister, JoAnn Penton.

Survivors include her daughters, Kimberly “Penny” Whitten and Pamela “Pam” Gaddis; grandchildren, Tiffany Farrior, Jennifer (Aaron) Goldsmith, and Bubba (Courtney) Gravitt; great-grandchildren: Hailey, Brooklyn, Landon, Kendal, Alyssa, and Cloey; brother, John (Janette) Veal of Albertville, AL; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
