Barbara Ann Beason Plank, 76, of Rossville, passed away peacefully at her home on June 17, 2017 surrounded by her family. 

 

A native of North Georgia and a 1957 graduate of Chattanooga High School, Barbara was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and a wonderful friend to all. Barbara was retired from H&R Block in Chattanooga, TN where she was an Accountant, she was the owner of La Rendezvous Tea Room in Rossville, GA in the 80’s; she was an accountant with Rone Regency Jewelers for Frank Varallo.  She was a long-time member of the Fort Oglethorpe Church of Christ, where she and her husband Jack W. Plank were married 58 years ago. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and her family.  She loved playing golf, Tennessee Vols Football, sewing, baking, music, dancing, she was a fund raiser for the American Cancer Society.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband Jack W. Plank, Father, William “Buddy” Beason, mother, Alma Beason, and sister, Carol Jean Palmer

She is survived by her children; two daughters, Pamela (Gary) Gibson of Cohutta, GA and Jackie (Roger) Saylors of Panama City Beach, FL; son, Wesley D. (Debbie) Plank of Chesapeake, VA; sister, Janice Smith, Brother William “Terry” Beason, Sister-in-law Shirley (Jeff) Tingle of Rossville, GA; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and  nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Tuesday June 20, 2017 in the South Crest Chapel.  Interment will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery with her grandsons and nephews serving as Honorary Pallbearers.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made American Cancer Society.

 

The family will receive friends Monday from 4:00PM until 8:00PM and from 11:00AM until the service on Tuesday at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, Rossville located at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
