Barbara Jean (Lively) Tullis

Barbara Jean Lively Tullis, 77, of East Ridge passed away at a local hospital on Saturday, August 18, 2018. 

Mrs. Tullis was a member of South Seminole Baptist Church and sang in the choir.  She was a 1959 graduate of Tyner High School.  She worked as a cook for the Hamilton County School System and South Seminole Baptist Church Daycare.  She enjoyed cooking and playing slow pitch softball.  She participated in the Miss Chattanooga Pageant and was an avid Alabama Football and Atlanta Braves fan. 

She was preceded in death by her parents Ira and Gertrude Lively; brother, Tom Lively; sisters, Betty Shook and Mary Lively.    

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Lee Tullis; daughter, Cheryl (Cecil) Hartman; son, Michael (Julie) Tullis; granddaughter, Miranda Tullis and several close friends.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 22nd, at 11:00 a.m. in the South Crest Chapel with the Reverend Ted Gocke and Pastor Drew Tankersley.  Interment will follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens East.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home & Crematory, at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
