Bartow Lebron Fouts, 88 of Rock Spring, GA went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 11th, 2021.
Lebron was born July 22, 1932 in Chickamauga, GA and graduated from Gordon Lee High School. He proudly served his country in the US Navy during the Korean War. Lebron worked as a maintenance supervisor for Shaw Industries for many years before his retirement. He was a faithful member of Bible Baptist Church in Rossville, GA where Ricky Gravley is pastor. After months of being hospitalized, his final days were happy, at home with family. Lebron called his wife and children to his bedside where he spoke of love and gratitude to them, then prayed over them all before saying he was ready to go. He was visited by all those who loved him, and surrounded by family as he passed from this life to his heavenly reward. Lebron was gentle and generous, loving and faithful. We all loved him, but he loved us the most.
Lebron was preceded in death by his birth parents, Bartow and Inez Palmer Fouts; adoptive parents, James “Jim” and Bessie Massey Fouts; sister, Lucille Bailey; niece, Lilly Mae Cline; grandsons, Christopher Spears and Daniel Fouts.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Gracie Yvonne Mullis Fouts; children: Kim (Joseph) Ingram, Bart Fouts, and Jan (Daniel) Spears; grandchildren: Betsy (James) Campbell, Alan (Brooke) Spears, Alex (Rebecca) Ingram, Cody Spears, and Eli Ingram; four great grandchildren; sister, Jean Fouts Smith; many nieces, nephews and their children, all of whom loved their “Uncle Bron.”
There will be no memorial service due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
