Bernice “Bee” Powell Tucker, 88 of Rossville, passed away Wednesday June 26th, 2019.
Bernice was born in Rising Fawn, GA on May 5th, 1931. She was a member of Chattanooga Valley Presbyterian Church and worked for many years as a therapy aide. After retiring, Bernice volunteered her time working in a local nursing home.
Bernice was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, John Lewis Tucker; daughter, Linda Harrison; parents, Herbert and Viola Powell; and brother, Leroy Powell.
Survivors include her children: Sandra (Barry) Atcheson of Dallas, GA; Karen (Tony) Porter of Powder Springs, GA; Rhonda (George) Lind of Hilton Head, SC; son-in-law, Nick Harrison of Savannah, GA; 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; siblings: Lloyd Powell, Johnny (Dixie Ann) Powell, and Beeta Tucker; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 1st at 12:30pm in the South Crest Chapel with Pastor Dan Gilchrist officiating. Interment will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 3-7pm and Monday from 11:30am until the funeral hour in the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home & Crematory located at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
