Bette Jean (Springfield) Holmes

Bette J. Holmes, 87, of Rossville passed away Monday, June 6, 2022 at a local hospital.  Mrs. Holmes had lived most of her life in north Georgia and was of the Baptist faith.  She was a Traveling Physical Therapist working all across the country for 25 years, retiring in 2010.  Mrs. Holmes loved her family, traveling with her husband, playing BINGO, and crocheting.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Darlene Newman; one grandchild, Gene Holland; and her sister, Mary.

Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Larry Holmes; five children, Helen (Steve) Hicks, Marjorie Holland, Thomas Andrew (Rebecca) Cox, Deania (Andy) Savala, and Joy Marnette (Scott) Vaughn; twelve grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, June 18th at 3:00p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Reverend Marshall Clack officiating.

The family will receive friends Saturday, June 18th from 1:00p.m. until the funeral hour at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, Rossville, GA.
