Bill Ray Fowler

Bill Fowler, 83, of Rossville, GA passed away on Friday, August 5, 2022.  Bill was born to the late Mr. Johnny Fowler and Mrs. Laura Jane Crowder Fowler on February 19, 1939 in Chattanooga, TN.

Bill was an upholsterer by trade, owning his own upholstery shop for many years.  He retired from the Department of Children and Family Services in Chattanooga as a maintenance technician.  Bill loved to restore old cars and also sold life and health insurance.  Bill will surely be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, cousin, Rev. Billy Fowler and step brother, James Bunch.

Bill is survived by his wife of 38 years, Barbara Fowler, children; Ricky and Randy Fowler, Yvonne Sue Hardwick, Eldon Hardwick, and Denise Fowler, stepsons; Rodney, Richard, Robert and Michael King, and cousin, Lorrine Tidshaw. 

A funeral service for Bill will be conducted in the chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory South Crest Chapel on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at 11 am with the Brother Steve Swaggerty officiating.  Interment will follow the service at Tennessee Georgia Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at Lane Funeral Home and Crematory South Crest Chapel on Tuesday evening August 9, 2022 from 4-7pm.
