Bobbie Ruth Barrett

Bobbie Ruth Ward Barrett, 81 of East Ridge went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, March 27, 2021. 

She was born January 12, 1940 to the late Jake and Neva Ward.  Bobbie was the owner of Barrett Wholesale Florist in Texas and after moving to Chattanooga she opened and operated Barrett Day Care until her retirement.   She was a devoted Christian and a member of the Westside Baptist Church.  Bobbie loved to cook, liked to sew, enjoyed her flower gardens, reading her Bible, spoiling her grandchildren, affectionately loved the children from her day care and cherished time spent with her family. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Joel Barrett; son, Terry Clary; brothers, Dale & Rickey Ward.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Kathy (Paul) Frost; grandchildren, Amanda (Josh) Gordon; Dustin ( Brittany) Frost, and  Brandon Pagleno; great-grandchildren, AbbyKate and  Kelsie Gordon, Adah Frost; brothers Glenn & Mickey (Barbara)  Ward; daughter-in-law Janice Clary, several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 1, 2021 from 6 to 8 PM at South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home & Crematory, at the end of historic Missionary Ridge Rossville.
