Brenda Faye Carter

Brenda Faye Carter, 76 of Rossville, passed away Tuesday, September 28th, 2021 in her home surrounded by her loving family.

Brenda was born in Nashville, TN and attended school in the Chattanooga area. She was a member of Joyful Sound Church of God. Brenda worked in carpet mills and several restaurants including Cook’s BBQ. She enjoyed feeding the squirrels and birds and especially enjoyed watching the hummingbirds. Brenda was beautiful inside and out, she had a big heart and loved everyone. She was a strong woman who endured many hardships throughout her life, but through it all she successfully raised and loved her children. Brenda was a wonderful mother, she is deeply loved and will be greatly missed.

Brenda was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Carter; parents, Bill and Hazel Norman; sister, Joyce Allison; grandson, Michael Thacker; and one nephew.

Survivors include her children, Jamie (Lisa) Carter and Tammy Thacker; five beloved grandchildren, four beloved great grandchildren; and one niece.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 4th, 2021 at 2pm in the South Crest Chapel with Brother James Barker officiating. Interment will follow in the Lakewood Memory Gardens South.
