Bruce “June” Anderson Hickman, Jr., 88 of Ringgold, passed away on Thursday, July 16th, 2020 in his home surrounded by his loving family.
Bruce was born in Jasper, TN and spent most of his life in the North Georgia and Chattanooga areas. He was a proud US Navy veteran and served on the USS De Haven during the Korean War. Bruce was a member of the Ft. Oglethorpe VFW Post #3679. He retired after 38 years of service with Mueller Inc. as a machinist. Bruce enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves and Duke basketball, baking, cooking, and above all else, spending time with his family.
Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Bruce, Sr. and Annie Farmer Hickman; and seven siblings.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Robin Hickman; daughters, Michelle (Gary) Smith and Melody (Marty) DiClemente; grandchildren: Jenna (Chris) McCormack, Andrea (Brittney) Grant, Thatcher (Leah) Yates, and Riley, Burke, and Braden DiClemente; great grandchildren: Danielle (Casey) Strader, Kelsey (Zach) Balding, Morgan (Andrew) McCormack, and Tatum Yates; great great grandchild, Parker Balding; extended family, Valerie Coates and Phillip Ashmore; brother, Kenneth Hickman; sister, Linda Bayne; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, July 21st, 2020 at 3pm in the South Crest Chapel. Webcasting will be available on Lane’s website. A private interment will be held in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital at stjude.org.
