Butch Hood

Butch Hood, 71 of Harrison, TN went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 30th, 2019.

Butch was born in Chattanooga but lived his life in the Harrison area. He was a member of Denny Hill Baptist Church and worked for several years with Taylor Construction as a carpenter. Butch enjoyed fishing, hunting, car racing, playing jokes, and will always be remembered as a kind hearted and loving husband and father.

Butch was preceded in death by his father, Rose Hood; and brothers, Donnie Hood and Charlie “Worm” Hood.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Sue Hood; son, Rusty (Lisa) Hood; daughter, Wanda (Michael) Scott; sisters, Billie Jean (Thurman) Headrick, Deanie Ridley, and Emma Altum; mother, Mildred Quinn; two grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 3rd at 2pm in the Maple Grove Baptist church at 9525 Birchwood Pike Harrison, TN with Reverend Ronnie Dotson and Reverend James Dotson officiating.
