Carolyn Sue Smith, 79, of the Lakeview Community passed away Sunday, April 25, 2021 with her family by her side. She was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga and North Georgia area where she worked for 30 years at Royal Desota. Mrs. Smith loved her family, playing cards and bingo, and she enjoyed watching her grandchildren play ball.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Smith; parents, Hubert and Francis Phillips; sisters, Patty Fargo, Barbie Green, and Debbie Moses; brothers, Michael Phillips and Steve Larry Phillips; and grandson, Sawyer Brown.
Survivors include her children, Tonya (Ronnie) Vandergriff, Tammie (Steve) Carter, and Pally (Jennifer) Smith; five grandchildren, Billy (Brittany), Tiffany, Brittany (Shawn), Amanda (Josh), and P.J.; ten great grandchildren, Calleigh, Landon, Camdyn, Abby, Brooklyn, Bankston, Chloe, Reed, Koy, and Cru; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:00p.m. in the south Crest Chapel.
Interment will follow in the Lakewood South Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4-9p.m. and Thursday from 10a.m. until 3p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, Rossville, GA
