Catherine Louise (Fitzsimmons) Davis

Catherine Louise Davis, 71, died Monday, February 10, 2020.  She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her work family.  Ms. Cathy was an employee of Applebrook Country Day Care and attended Center Grove Baptist Church.  She always put family first, and enjoyed shopping, yard work, being outdoors, cooking and going to the movies. Ms. Cathy also enjoyed spending time swinging on her front porch.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Davis Jr.; parents, Chester and Marie Fitzsimmons; brother, C. L. Fitzsimmons, and nephew, Laramie Fitzsimmons.

Survivors are her daughters, Sherry (Joe) Austria, Christy (Tim) Jarvis; son Scott Davis; brothers, Larry (Carol) Fitzsimmons, Steve (Kim) Fitzsimmons; sister-in-law, Kim Swaggerty Fitzsimmons; six  grandchildren; three  great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. David Brown officiating.  Interment will be in the Humphrey Cemetery, Rossville.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, located at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
