Chad Lee Snyder

Chad Snyder, 48, of Trenton, formerly of East Lake passed away unexpectedly Sunday, June 21, 2020.  Chad was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga and North Georgia area where he was a 1991 graduate of Kirkman Technical High School.  Chad was one of the best pattern makers in the Southeast.  He worked for many years at Foundry Pattern Services, Metalcraft, Premier Pattern and Machine, and he currently owned and operated Snyder’s Pattern and Machine.  Chad was a Boy Scout with Troop 264 and Troop 17 in East Ridge and he was a member of the East Lake Masonic Lodge #698 F&AM and was a Shriner with the Hillbilly Unit.  Chad was a jack of all trades, he would give you the shirt off his back, and he never met a stranger.  He collected motorcycles, cars, and enjoyed rock crawlin.  Most of all he loved his family especially his wife, Carrie and son, Jackson.  He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Snyder; paternal grandparents, Jack and Allyne “Mammy” Snyder; maternal grandparents, Bob and Daisy Gatlin; and niece, Samantha Watson.

Survivors include his loving wife of 8 years, Carrie Snyder; son, Jackson Snyder; father, Phil Snyder; brother, Dee (Michelle) Snyder; sisters, Jane (Eric) Ealy and Jill Watson; nieces and nephews, Matthew Watson, Shawn Watson, Brittney “BBJ” Ealy, Erin Ealy, Josh (Melissa) Hill, Savanna Snyder, and Brianna Snyder; several great nieces and great nephews; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Wayne and Barbara Releford.

Funeral Services will be held Friday at 12noon in the South Crest Chapel with Webcasting available on the funeral home website.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5-8p.m., Thursday from 3-8p.m. and Friday from 10a.m. until the funeral hour at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, Rossville, GA.
