Charles William Tucker, 85, of Chickamauga passed away Sunday, February 24, 2019 surrounded by his family.
He was born in Chattanooga, and proudly served his country with the United States Navy. Charles was a truck driver until his retirement from Ranger Trucking. After his retirement he enjoyed working on the farm, camping, fishing, was a hard worker, enjoyed life and dearly loved his family.
Charles was preceded in death by his son, Donny Tucker and father, Rev. Charles Tucker, Sr and mother, Monteen Ratliff Tucker.
He is survived by his wife Emma Penney Tucker of 60 years, son, Doug (Shari) Tucker, daughter, Penny (Jeff) Vaughn; sisters, Betty (Kenneth) McBryar, Joyce Martin, Peggy (Ralph) Keefe; brother, David Tucker, grandchildren, Matt Vaughn, Hannah Tucker (Nathan) Fink and Joe Tucker, cousin, Gary Ratliff, several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that memorial contributions be made to Lookout Baptist Church High Point, 8646 Ga. Highway 193, Chickamauga, Ga 30707.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at 11:30 a.m. in the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home with Pastor, Terry Burns officiating. Interment will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery with honors.
