Charles "Doug" Douglas Wilson

Charles Douglas “Doug” Wilson, 75 of Rossville, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 5th, 2020 in his home.

Doug was born in Cincinnati, OH, lived in California for most of his life, then settled in Rossville after retiring. He was a High School athlete having played basketball and football. Doug retired from General Dynamics after over 30 years of service as a Supervisor. In his free time, Doug enjoyed metal detecting with his buddy “Walt” and would often times walk 10-15 miles a day looking for treasures. He also enjoyed reading all genres of books and watching movies. Doug was a Christian man who loved his family, especially his granddaughters, and loved the Lord. He will be most remembered for being an excellent friend and great listener.

Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Lousier and Myrtle Wilson; brothers, Eldridge and Gary Wilson; and son, Brian Wilson.

Survivors include his daughter, Dena Lira; granddaughters, Christina Hickenbotham and Camille Lira; sisters, Beverly Grubb, Carolyn Phipps, and Kay Monochino; best friend, Walt (Maria) Lasley; and several nieces and nephews.
