Charlotte Ann (Longley) Reed

Charlotte Ann Longley Reed, 90 of East Ridge, TN passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, January 15th, 2023.

Charlotte was born and raised in the North Georgia area and was a member of Brainerd United Methodist Church. She served her country faithfully and honorably in the US Army as a Staff Sergeant and was stationed in Japan for three years. Charlotte retired after 30 years of service as a sales associate with JC Penney. She enjoyed shopping, especially at thrift stores, kept her yard beautiful, and took pride in keeping her home clean and organized.  Charlotte was a private person but was very independent, determined, a dedicated wife and mother, and a wonderful aunt to her nieces and nephews whom she treated as if they were her own children.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas “Tom” Earl Reed, Sr.; beloved son, Thomas “Tommy” Earl Reed, Jr.; parents, Andrew William “Dub” and Irene Longley; and siblings: Betty Mays, Hope Brandon, and Larry Longley.

Survivors include her sisters, Joyce Ake and Gloria Martin; brother, William “Bill” Longley; and a multitude of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
