Chester Kenneth Patty, 83, of Tunnel Hill, died Monday, October 23, 2017 surrounded by his family.

He was born September 3, 1934 in Townsend, Tennessee to the late Jake Garland and Nora Patty Caylor. He is also preceded in death by son, David Patty, daughter, Linda Zimbrick, and sisters, Barbara Jenkins and Velda Brown. He drove a hyster for Sweetwater Carpet Mills. He loved his family and friends and spending time with them telling them stories, coon hunting, fishing, running marathons, gardening, and was a hard worker. He was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Judith Patty; daughters, Teresa Kirby and Sheila Patty; brothers, Donald Patty, Gene Garland, and Jimmy Patty. Sisters; Ruby Horton and Judy Greene, 5 grandchildren, Jennifer Morris, Kenneth Patty, Ashley Franks, Nathaniel Kirby, and Summer Taylor. 5 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are by the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home & Crematory, at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
