Connie Ricketts

Connie Lovon Ricketts, 60 of East Ridge ended this life fighting on Sunday January 26th, 2020 in her home.

Connie was born and raised in the Chattanooga area and spent most of her life in Chattanooga. She attended Kirkman High School and was of the Baptist faith. Connie worked as hostess for Ramada Inn for many years and thoroughly enjoyed her job. Connie’s passion was painting and remodeling homes. She loved to sing karaoke and even won several singing competitions. Connie bravely fought ovarian cancer for 6 years and was considered a true warrior. She was an absolute giver, worrying about everyone else before herself. Connie raised many children, some that were not even her own, she fed everyone, and even helped to take care of the homeless. She was a selfless woman and will be missed by all who knew her.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary Lou Ricketts, daughter, Rebecca Ricketts and nephew, Jessie Ricketts.

Survivors include her husband of 16 years, Dewey Robinson; children, Robert Ricketts, Misty Ricketts and Jeff James; siblings, James (Sheila) Ricketts, Jerry Ricketts, Roy (Tina) Ricketts, Lina Duffey and Helen Thurmond; several nieces and nephews Joey, David and Travis Ricketts, Patrick and Derrick Duffey, Leeann Glover, Timothy Lockhart and Kenneth Woods; Several Grandchildren, Morgan Gregg and Harley Lough, Haven and Jeremy Burnette, Robert, Korbyn and MaKayla Ricketts, Jocelyn, James and Brayden Frazier; Great Grand Babies, Heavenly, Kayden and Londyn Lough.  

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 4th, 2020 at 1pm in the South Crest Chapel with Reverend Dale McAnally officiating. Interment will follow in the Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.
