Cornelia Foster

Cornelia Hansel Foster passed away Thursday, May 12, 2022 in Decatur Morgan Hospital. She was 82.

 

Memorialization was by cremation.

 

Cornelia was born January 3, 1940 in Chattanooga, Tennessee to the late John B. and Ann Epperson Hansel.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Charles R. Foster; brothers, John B. Hansel, Jr. and Charles E. Hansel; and nephews, Charles Andrew “Andy” Hansel and Robert Hansel.  Cornelia worked for years in the banking industry and served the Lord faithfully alongside her husband for over 30 years.

 

Survivors include her son, Collie Foster (Lynn) of Harvest, Alabama; granddaughters, Erica Foster of Huntsville, Alabama, and Amy Foster of Woodstock, Georgia; and several nieces and nephews.

 

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Anderson Memorial Gardens in Ringgold, Georgia with Reverend Tommy Preston officiating. 

 

A public visitation will be held on Friday evening, June 10, 2022 from 5:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. at Lane Funeral Home and Crematory South Crest Chapel in Rossville, Georgia.
