Dana P. Childs, Jr.

Dana P. Childs, 65, of Rossville passed away May 9, 2018 at his residence. Dana grew up in Richmond, VA and after graduating from VA Commonwealth University with degree in Biology, he worked for the VA Forensic Department. While living in GA for the recent years, he worked for Schnitzer in Chattanooga, TN.  In his life, Dana enjoyed outdoor sports, fishing, wood-working and was an excellent cook in the kitchen.  He had a very generous giving spirit which he shared unconditionally.

He is preceded in death by his father, Dana P. Childs, Sr. and maternal and paternal grandparents

He is survived by his mother, Phyllis Childs, a brother Mark (Glenda) Childs, a niece Rachel and nephew Byron.

We wish to publically acknowledge his friends Garnett and Connie for becoming his supportive family while residing in GA.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday June 2nd at 10:30am in the South Crest Chapel with Pastor Jim Bennett officiating.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 9:30am until the funeral hour in the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, located at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
