Darryl Wade Albarado

Darryl Wade Albarado, 56, of Vestavia Hills, Alabama passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2021 in Rock Spring, GA.  Darryl had lived most of his life in the Atlanta and Birmingham areas.  He was a 1983 graduate of Shades Valley High School and a 1988 graduate of the University of Montevallo where he was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity.  Darryl spent his career in the Financial Industry having retired in 2008 from SunTrust as an IT Manager with 11 years of service.  Darryl enjoyed running Marathons and he trained with the Galloway Group.  At the age of 37 he ran in the Marine Corps Marathon, at the age of 38 he ran in the New York Marathon, and he ran in many other marathons throughout the years in Atlanta.  Darryl had a passion for cooking.  He volunteered at the Cooks Warehouse in Atlanta and he also enjoyed watching Sex in the City and Six Feet Under.  Darryl will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Marshall Albarado, Sr.

Survivors include his mother, Joyce Ann Albarado; brother, James Marshall Albarado, Jr.; nephew, Kevin Marshall Albarado; and numerous friends.
