Daryl Lee Sims

Daryl Sims, 73 of Ooltewah, TN passed away Wednesday, November 23rd, 2022.

Daryl was born in Chattanooga, TN and raised in Rossville, GA. He graduated from Rossville High School in the class of 1967 and was of the Episcopalian faith. Daryl earned his Master’s Degree in History from Emory University and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from UTC. He worked for his family owned food brokerage company, Carden & Sims then as a real estate agent in the greater Chattanooga area, and most recently for FedEx as a customer service representative. Daryl was an avid golfer and was often seen on the green at Windstone Golf Course. He is golfing with the best on heaven’s green now. Daryl was reserved, had a great sense of humor, could always find the positive in any situation, and was a hardworking man. He is dearly loved and will be greatly missed. 

Daryl is preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Louise Sims.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Cindy Sims; son, Eric Sims; sister, Lynn Sims; aunt, Mary North; several extended family members; and a host of golfing buddies.

Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
