David Stephen Altum

David Stephen Altum, 57, of Chattanooga went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at his home.  He had lived most of his life in the Chattanooga and North Georgia areas where he served his community as a Funeral Director.  He had worked many years at Williamson and Sons Funeral Home in Soddy Daisy, TN, Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home in Calhoun, GA, and most recently at Lane Funeral Home and Crematory South Crest Chapel.  David was a member of Frawley Road Baptist Church in East Ridge.  He enjoyed spending time with his family, camping with his son Daniel, riding his motorcycle, working on things in his shop, and serving families as a funeral director.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert “Bob” L. Altum, Jr.; and grandmother, Mildred Quinn.

Survivors include his wife, Heidi Pepple Altum; son, Daniel Hai Altum; mother, Emma Lee Altum; brother, Ronald (Sheila) Altum; sister, Rhonda (Larry) Barnett; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 18th at 2:00p.m. at Frawley Road Baptist Church 510 Frawley Road East Ridge, TN 37412 with Pastor Ken Wolfe officiating.

Interment will follow in the Chattanooga Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 12 noon until the funeral hour at the Church.
