Tribute

David Dwight Crane, 63 of Rossville passed away September 24, 2018.  David was a native of Rossville where he grew up attending the Bryan Street Church of Christ and  was a 1974 graduate of Rossville High School having played football and competed in the discus throw.  Following high school, David attended the University of Tennessee at Knoxville where he played defensive end for the Vols.  David lived several years in California and while living in California he was an actor in several movies including, Fortress of Amerikkka, Danger Zone, and Wilding.  David also drove many celebrities around as a Limo driver in California.  He moved back to Georgia in the late 1990’s and became a member of the Rossville Alumni Association and was a frequent guest on “Stump on Sports” with Stump Martin.  His passions in life were his family; acting; being a comedian, telling jokes, and doing impersonations; enjoying music; and he was an avid UT Vol and Oakland Raiders Fan.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dwight and Nyleve Crane.

 

Survivors include his children, Jordan Crane of Ringgold, Lauren Crane of Chattanooga, and Collin Crane of Ft. Oglethorpe; sister, Nancy Crane of Ft. Oglethorpe; and his girlfriend, Lisa Hubbard of Florida.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday at 6:00p.m. in the South Crest Chapel.

 

Arrangements are by the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, located at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
