Tribute

Dineshchandra Haribhai Tripathi departed this life on Wednesday, February 17th, 2021.

He was born October 26, 1944 in Ahmedabad, India in Gujarat state and spent his formative childhood years nearby in the town of Sarkhej, India. On December 7, 1975, he married Daxa Tripathi.  In September 1983, he immigrated to the United States and his family joined him a year later in 1984. He settled his family in Lafayette, Georgia and remained a resident of Lafayette for 36 years until his recent passing. He became a US citizen with great joy.  He valued and humbly appreciated his new homeland, and instilled this same appreciation for America in his own children, as well as his own Indian culture and heritage. Dineshchandra was a devoted husband and father and was a lifelong devotee of the Hindu faith. He lived his life fulfilling his duty and responsibilities in a way that honored his own parents and forebears with great humility, great selflessness and sacrifice. He enjoyed watching old Bollywood movies, listening to Hindi music, and taking walks around his neighborhood. Dineshchandra enjoyed a good cup of Starbucks coffee and most of all enjoyed playing with his granddaughters. He will be greatly missed by his wife and children, extended family, and all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Haribhai and Maniben Tripathi; his elder sister, Vinuben Tripathi; and elder brother, Narendrakumar Tripathi.
