A. Donald Newton, 82, of the Brainerd Community in Chattanooga passed away Thursday, December 1, 2022, at his home. He had lived over 40 years in Chattanooga. Don was a woodworker by trade specializing in Cabinetry and Furniture Reproduction and Restoration. He also enjoyed working with leather and was a member of the Wood Carvers Association. Don was one who kept to himself, and he loved his family and his German Shephard, “Booger”. Outside of woodworking, Don enjoyed cooking, drinking his coffee, going to Flea Markets, gardening, and just enjoying the outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Ryon Newton; and two brothers, Jack and David Newton.
Survivors include his stepdaughter, Terri Dial; grandchildren, Madeline Creek and Langan Creek; great grandchildren, Brysen, Braylan, Bryleigh, Addison, Rowan, and one on the way; and several nieces and nephews.
