Donald “Don” Sutton, 71, of Ringgold passed away Saturday, July 18, 2020. Mr. Sutton was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga and North Georgia area and was a member of Catoosa Baptist Tabernacle. He was a truck driver by trade and retired from Roadway Express with over ten years of service. Mr. Sutton was a United States Army veteran who served two tours in Vietnam and served in the Korean War. He loved his family and enjoyed watching westerns, war movies, and classics such as the “Andy Griffith Show”.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ida Mack Vineyard and Hollis T. Sutton; and two brothers, Thomas David Sutton and Jerry Allen Sutton.
Survivors include his wife, Gretchen “Judy” Sutton; children, Pam (Lynn) Crofts, Kent Womack, and Terry (Jimmy Dale) Hensley; two brothers, Hugh Sutton and Eddie Sutton; grandchildren, Holly (Jon) Stuart, Heather (Gary) Wooten, Brittany Womack, Katie Wess, and Hailey Wess; great grandson, Jayk Dewayne Couch, and many other special great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 1:30p.m. at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Military honors provided by the United States Army.
Arrangements are by the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, located at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
